Life Lessons: Have You Been Misdirected? Refocusing on Jesus (Mark 5:36)
But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler, “Do not be afraid; just believe.” Mark 5:36 NET
Every one is different and we all have our own set of unique trials and problems to overcome. Think about it! We really have no idea what other people are going through. It’s easy to get misdirected and fall into a trap. Sometimes, if we are not careful, we can put confidence in others instead of Jesus! We look for the flesh to help us overcome our issues and it’s not rare that in doing so, our friends, family or co-workers let us down, and even betray our confidence and trust. This is sad indeed and extremely hurtful but if we are honest it happens all the time!
However, may I encourage you that there is a person we can count on that will NEVER let us down? A friend that is simply closer than another….Jesus! Whatever you are dealing with, it’s unique to you, for sure, but nobody understands it better than our Savior, Jesus. He knows what its like to deal with problems, people making fun of Him, people doubting Him, and even the betrayal of a close friend. But, most importantly, He knows your life and needs better than you do. God is good and always faithful. He knows EXACTLY what you are going through and what’s best for you at any given moment.
